A Note from the Pastor…
I want to begin by thanking everyone for the cards, the gifts, and especially the kind words for Pastor Appreciation month. My wife and I both feel very blessed to serve among this congregation – in this place – in God’s Kingdom! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and appreciated!
As you probably have noticed, (or will when it comes time for the preaching service), I am not in the service this morning. Earlier in the year I planned a short mission trip to Athens, Greece, with a close friend of mine & this is the weekend we are traveling. We left this past Friday, and will return on Tuesday, (God willing). It is a very short trip for such a long journey, but we look forward to reconnecting with a congregation we met several years ago and exploring the area around the church for more opportunities to help and/or serve. We are also looking forward to learning new ways to reach out and excited to meet new people. Please pray for a safe and God-honoring trip.
Finally, several months ago, we began planning for a new parking lot on the east side of the church. We hope to begin this week (weather permitting), and I want to ask everyone to be careful as we begin this project. The new parking “spots” will be just like the parking lot on the west side of the church, running almost the complete length of the church property. I am thankful for this opportunity, and I ask for your patience as we complete this project! God has surely blessed our congregation! May all we do be used for His Glory and to further His Kingdom!
In Christ,
Pastor Chris
