A Note From the CWC…
Christian Women Connection (CWC) is a women’s ministry affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson, IN). Several women of our local church congregation participated in CWC events and service projects this past year. Monthly meetings, known as CWC Women’s Fellowship, were held in October, November, February, March, April, May, June, and August, and included prayer and devotions, craft projects or games, food, and fellowship. Two of the projects were Valentines and Easter bunny treat bags, which were made for the residents of the Andbe Home and Andbe Home Acres. CWC also helped host a Christmas salad luncheon for the women and girls in December.
CWC has also started giving a cash gift to newlyweds and families of new babies in our church. We are also doing crafts with the Orange Sunday School children. This past year CWC did Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day crafts with them. Christ’s Birthday Observance materials were purchased by the CWC for the church family in preparation for a special mission offering at Christmas time. We also sent cash gifts for the birthdays and the wedding anniversary of the Todd family, our missionaries in Brazil.
In order to help fund the CWC projects, we participated in the Hwy 36 Treasure Hunt sale last fall. Breakfast burritos and a lunch special were available. Baked goods, provided by CWC and other members of the congregation, were also sold. It was a great blessing to the CWC ministry. Our CWC continues to support a girl from Uganda through the Children of Promise program, and this past year we were able to send extra money to assist another child, due to the blessing of the Hwy 36 Treasure Hunt sale. CWC will again be participating in the sale this year on September 18 and 19 to help fund the fellowship and service projects. Breakfast burritos, pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, and baked goods will be sold.
All women and girls of the church are welcome to participate in CWC meetings and activities. Thank you, everyone who helped support the CWC projects in any way. Each and every one was a blessing to the CWC ministry. May God bless you all.
